"Dawn" reflects that magical time of the morning just before sunrise - the scent of the earth, the songs of birds, a stillness. A lush yet sparse piece (yes!), "Dawn" (key of C) uses the beautiful ring of the harp to fill the space between the notes, inviting a feeling of anticipation intertwined with peacefulness.
Traditions abound around the importance of wheat and bread - and what better way to celebrate than to share! "Sharing of the Bread" (key of G) is an uplifting, upbeat selection that can be played either slower (but don't let it drag) or faster than indicated, holding up well to a change of the indicated tempo to suit the situation or the player's experience level.
