The up side of a disaster is that it can provide the opportunity to discover wonderful people in the world who go out of their way to help not only their own families and friends when they are in need, but who also open their hearts and extend helping hands to people they don't know and communities not their own.

Originally released in 2011 as a flood relief benefit project for my beloved region of The Adirondack Mountains, hit hard by unprecedented flooding from Hurricane Irene, this beautiful music raised over $15K. All facets of the CD, from music to studio time to packaging production, were donated, so 100% of the proceeds went to flood relief.

My original piece, After the Rain, was the first thing I created - or even played - on my harp after the floods devastated our home. I was heartsick and it took many days before I could bring myself to play. This soothing piece was part of the healing.

Musical styles range from trad. Celtic to nuevo flamenco to a variety of original works, including my husband Dennis' lovely Raindrop Song, on guitar and harp. Sheet music for some selection available on my merch page: marthagallagher.bandcamp.com For actual CD, please visit adkharper.com
